Shingle roofs here fail from heat, not from rain
We spec architectural shingle systems for Arizona sun exposure — every component from one manufacturer, ventilation corrected, full tear-off — so the roof ages evenly and the warranty actually applies.

What this is
The sun is the load on this roof
Shingle roofs here fail from heat and UV long before they fail from rain. We spec architectural shingles with the ventilation, starter, hip-and-ridge and underlayment components from the same system, so the manufacturer warranty actually applies and the roof ages evenly.
In the East Valley a shingle roof spends its life under UV and heat cycling. That is what curls edges, drives out granules and opens seams — usually years before any rain does damage. Building for that means the right shingle, the right ventilation and the right components underneath, not the minimum the code will pass.
- Architectural and designer shingle systems
- Complete component systems — not mixed brands
- Ventilation reviewed and corrected
- Full tear-off, deck inspection and repair
Do you need this
Signs your shingle roof is done
Shingles tell you where they are in their life if you know what to look for. We will show you in photographs.
Curling or cupping edges
Heat-driven curling at the tabs means the mat is shrinking. It does not reverse and it accelerates.
Granules in the gutters
Granules are the UV protection. Once they are in the downspout, the asphalt underneath is exposed and ageing fast.
Staining or soft decking
Interior staining, or decking that feels soft underfoot, means water has been getting through for a while.
Roof is 15 to 20 years old
Most builder shingle roofs in this valley reach the end of their useful life inside that window regardless of the printed rating.
Scope of work
What a shingle replacement includes
Complete systems only — we do not mix a cheap component into a warranted assembly.
Full tear-off
Everything comes off to the deck. No shingle-over, no hiding what the last roof was covering.
Deck inspection and repair
Sheathing checked across the whole roof and replaced where it is soft, before anything new is fastened down.
Matched component system
Starter, underlayment, field shingle, hip-and-ridge and ventilation from the same manufacturer system so the warranty holds.
Ventilation corrected
Intake and exhaust balanced as part of the scope — the cheapest way to add years to a shingle roof in this climate.
Metal and penetrations
Valleys, step flashing, pipe boots and vents replaced with the roof rather than reused for another cycle.
Documentation and cleanup
Photos through the job, warranty paperwork at closeout, and a magnet-swept property when we leave.
Why it lasts
Architectural and designer profiles
Architectural shingles carry the depth and shadow line most East Valley homes want, and designer profiles go further where the elevation deserves it. We show you the options against your elevation and your neighbourhood, then quote the whole system by name so the comparison against other bids is honest.
How it works
How the project runs
The same four steps on every job, with the owner on site for all of them.
- 1
Free inspection
The owner walks your roof, photographs what he finds, and shows you the condition of the layer under the tile — not just the surface.
- 2
Written scope and materials
You get a detailed report with photos, the system we recommend, the materials by name, and the price. Financing options if you want them.
- 3
Build
Tear-off, deck and flashing corrections, then the new system installed to manufacturer spec. Site cleaned at the end of every day.
- 4
Final walkthrough
We walk the finished roof with you, hand over photo documentation and the manufacturer warranty paperwork, and magnet-sweep the property.

About shingle roofing
Can you go over the existing shingles?
No. We tear off. Layering hides deck damage and shortens the life of the new roof, and it is not the way we work.
Shingle or tile for my house?
It depends on structure, budget, appearance and how long you plan to own the home. We give you the honest comparison at inspection instead of steering you to one.
Do you do small shingle repairs?
No — we focus on complete roof systems. If a repair is genuinely all you need, we will tell you that and point you elsewhere.
